Mr. Zinn founded Atalaya to capitalize on his experience in sourcing and investing in credit opportunities. Mr. Zinn was previously responsible for HBK's strategy to originate and invest in corporate and real estate loans and other special situation investments. Prior to HBK, Mr. Zinn established Highbridge/Zwirn Capital Management's European investment effort and concentrated on media and telecom special situation investments in the U.S. Mr. Zinn was also a private equity investment professional at Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. and began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Los Angeles office of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. Aidi has extensive experience in alternative credit investing and has deep experience executing specialty finance and corporate transactions. Prior to joining Atalaya, Mr. Aidi was the Portfolio Manager in charge of the Direct Lending Group and a member of the Investment Committee at Magnetar Capital, LLC. Prior to Magnetar, Mr. Aidi was a corporate analyst at Highbridge/Zwirn, focused on private lending and special opportunities investments, where he worked closely with Mr. Zinn. Mr. Aidi began his career at Merrill Lynch, holding positions within the High Yield Capital Markets Group as well as the Telecommunications, Media and Technology Investment Banking Group. Mr. Bogdan has been with Atalaya since inception and has extensive investment experience in media and telecommunications. Prior to joining Atalaya, Mr. Bogdan was with Alta Communications, a leading private equity firm focused on small to middle-market media and telecommunication investments where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and managing equity investments in traditional media, new media, and telecommunication service industries. Prior to Alta Communications, Mr. Bogdan was at Comdisco Ventures, the venture capital arm of Comdisco, where he invested equity and subordinated debt in a broad range of technology companies. Mr. Chan has extensive experience in originating and investing in a range of financial assets, focused on specialty finance transactions. Prior to joining Atalaya, Mr. Chan was a partner and co-founder of TTM Capital, LLC, an investment firm focused on acquiring and lending against portfolios of financial and other assets. Prior to TTM, Mr. Chan was a Managing Director and co-head of the Assets Group at D.B. Zwirn & Co. Previously, Mr. Chan was a member of the Principal Transaction and Principal Finance teams at Lehman Brothers, and worked on numerous securitizations across multiple asset classes at Salomon Brothers. Mr. Chan began his career as a consultant at Price Waterhouse, followed by an internal consulting and operations roles at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Flowers brings over 20 years of investment experience as a team leader, portfolio manager, trader, originator and analyst. He has deep experience in structured finance and related sectors supported by a strong background in credit and leverage finance. Mr. Flowers was a co-founder and Partner of TTM Capital, LLC, an investment firm focused on acquiring and lending against portfolios of financial and other assets. Prior to TTM, Mr. Flowers was a Managing Director and co-head of the Assets Group at D.B. Zwirn & Co. Previously, Mr. Flowers was an Executive Vice President at PPM America, Inc. where he founded and led the Structured Finance and CDO Management Group. Mr. Flowers began his career in credit and leverage finance investing at Alliance Capital Management and Connecticut National Bank. Mr. Levinson has held senior level finance and operations positions at various financial institutions with extensive experience in accounting and portfolio management systems integration and implementation, regulatory procedures, tax planning and operations management. Mr. Levinson was previously the Chief Operating Officer at Oracle Investment Management, a $1 billion health care hedge fund investment manager and private equity firm and a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at Morgens, Waterfall, Vintiadis & Co., a hedge fund and private equity manager specializing in leveraged loans, special situations and distressed debt where he was also responsible for managing a number of turnaround situations in various industries. Mr. Phillips has broad management and financial services experience working with institutional investors and global financial institutions. Mr. Phillips joined Atalaya from Tiger Bay Advisors, a boutique asset management consultancy he co-founded, focused on driving operational efficiency, agility and scale. Prior to Tiger Bay, Mr. Phillips has served as the Manager of the Fund and Client Legal Group at Bridgewater Associates as well as the Assistant General Counsel & Director of New Products at The Rohatyn Group. Mr. Phillips was also a Vice-President for the Americas at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and an Associate at the law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Mr. Phillips earned his BA degree in Economics from Columbia University, his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and is a board member of the Children’s Cancer and Blood Foundation, the largest and oldest charitable organization in the United States dedicated to the care of children suffering from blood diseases and cancers.
Mr. Ufberg has broad experience in investing in corporate and real estate loans, including commercial, residential and whole loan portfolio acquisitions. Prior to joining Atalaya, Mr. Ufberg was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where he was a member of their Special Situations Group. Prior to joining Goldman, Mr. Ufberg spent six years at Bernstein Investment Research and Management, where he led all aspects of origination for a private client management team. Prior to Bernstein, Mr. Ufberg was an associate at Dilworth Paxson. Mr. Ufberg earned his BA from Pennsylvania State University and his JD from Villanova University. Prior to joining Atalaya, Mr. Mitra was a Vice President at Del Mar Asset Management, L.P. a multi-strategy hedge fund. At Del Mar, Mr. Mitra primarily focused on private credit and distressed investments and also reviewed relative value investments across bank debt, bonds, CDS and equities. Prior to Del Mar, Mr. Mitra was a Director at Marc Bell Capital Partners, LLC a special situations investment firm involved in private equity, credit and public equity investments. At Marc Bell, Mr. Mitra was responsible for sourcing, screening, financial analysis, transaction execution and the management of portfolio companies. Mr. Mitra began his career in the Investment Banking Division of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. Mr. Mitra received his BS in Economics, summa cum laude and a member of Beta Alpha Psi, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Atalaya, Mr. Murphy was a co-founder and Partner of TTM Capital, LLC, an investment firm focused on acquiring and lending against portfolios of financial and other assets, where he was responsible for Asset Management and Operations. Prior to TTM, Mr. Murphy worked at D.B. Zwirn & Co. as a Vice President with oversight of all asset management functions for the Assets group where he managed credit reporting and credit administration and led the workout management for “problem” assets for the Assets Group. Prior to D. B. Zwirn, Mr. Murphy was at Hudson Castle Group (formerly IBEX Capital Markets), an independent structured finance advisory company specializing in the management of asset-backed lending vehicles where he was responsible for all aspects of conduit operations, treasury and credit administration for five asset backed commercial paper conduits with commitments in excess of $8 billion. Mr. Murphy holds a MBS (Graduate School of Business) and a B.Comm in Accounting both from University College Dublin, Ireland and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Mr. Nadborny serves as Atalaya's General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Previously, Mr. Nadborny was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at C12 Capital Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund, as well as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of DHM Mortgage Servicing, a C12 subsidiary focused on the residential mortgage sector. Prior to C12, Mr. Nadborny served as Real Estate Counsel – Americas at Babcock & Brown, a global merchant bank, overseeing the legal aspects of real estate, private equity and structured finance transactions across various asset classes. Mr. Nadborny began his career in the mergers and acquisitions and real estate groups at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He holds a BA in history, with honors, from Yale University and earned a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
