James Intermont is a Managing Director at Atalaya and is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, executing, and managing investments primarily in the specialty finance and fintech space. Prior to joining Atalaya, James was a Vice President at Ares Management where he focused on structured credit and private asset backed investments. Previously, he was an Associate at Jefferies, where he focused on structured credit transactions, and an Associate at Swiss Re Capital Markets. James holds a BA in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
