Morris Macleod is a Managing Director and research analyst at Atalaya. He splits his time supporting the Firm’s SPAC and CLO strategies, and is responsible for providing senior support for underwriting and structuring of investments as well as portfolio surveillance efforts. Prior to joining Atalaya, he was a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager of Del Mar Asset Management, where he managed private credit strategies and served as a member of both the Investment and Management Committees. He was previously a Managing Director at Highbridge/Zwirn Capital Management, where he focused on private credit and other special situation investments. Morris started his career in Hong Kong with Baring Securities as an equity research analyst and later joined ING Baring’s global proprietary investment group where he focused on distressed debt and high yield credit, with stops in Tokyo and New York. Morris holds a BS in Resource Economics from the University of Vermont.
